We recommend setting up an automatic payment through your bank. This is the easiest and most preferred method. After the initial set up, you never need to think about it again!
Your bank should offer an online bill pay option. Here, you can enter the address of the church, the date you’d like payment to be sent, the amount, and any comment for the memo section. Your bank will then send a check every month on that date until you cancel the request. As an added bonus, you can easily look back at your online bill pay records at tax time to see exactly how much you donated.
You can also stop by the church office to swipe your credit card. With this method, you can make advance payments (and maybe even earn reward points). Or, write a quarterly check, and mail it to the church office, or leave it in the collection plate. Of course, cash is accepted in the collection plate. However, we cannot connect it to your pledge dollars. You also will have no record of your donation for tax purposes.
